Derek Blackshare is a 19-year veteran of the environmental consulting and engineering business. He is widely recognized as an expert on environmental issues in real estate and in compliance with RCRA, CERCLA, SARA (EPCRA Title III), CWA (NPDES, POTW, SPCC), and NEPA.
Derek holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering & Management, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Oklahoma and Texas, a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), and an Oklahoma Corporation Commission ORBCA- Certified UST Consultant. In addition, Derek is a Registered Environmental Property Assessor (REPA) and a Certified Environmental Inspector (CEI).
Derek is also Chair of the International Right of Way Association's (IRWA) International Environment Committee and a certified instructor for IRWA's environmental courses. In addition, Derek is Corporate Director for the Oklahoma Airport Operators Association (OAOA) and instructs a graduate-level engineering college credit course on hazardous materials and environmental management.
Charles Ahn is the Manager of Regional Operations for Blackshare Environmental Solutions and is located in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office.
Charles holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and is a MBA candidate with emphasis on Marketing. Charles is a Registered Environmental Property Assessor (REPA) and is 40-hour HAZWOPER Certified.
Mr. Ahn is responsible for managing the Oklahoma City operations as well as managing and coordinating multi-disciplined environmental projects in Oklahoma and surrounding states. Charles has more than 16 years of environmental experience in both consulting and industry. Charles is regarded as an expert in NEPA, CERCLA, RCRA and CWA, compliance and permitting.
He has extensive regulatory experience including Phase I/II/III Environmental Site Assessments, multi-media audits, NPDES permitting and monitoring, preparation of SPCC and storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) and preliminary applicability studies and minor source discharge applications for industrial air discharge permitting.
Kimberly Putnam is the Manager of Regional Operations.
Kim directs our Dallas operations and manages multi-disciplined environmental projects in Texas and surrounding states. She has tremendous knowledge and regulatory experience in all areas of environmental consulting including storm water NPDES permitting, monitoring, and preparation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), as well as project management of activities associated with land improvement, construction, and industrial facilities nationwide.
Kim is a member of Texas Association of Business and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Kim previously served for eight years in the United States Marine Corps.
